Jib jabbin'

BY EASTON

I am learning so many new things! The past few weeks I've gotten especially good at communicating. I use sign language to tell Mommy when I want more cookies (I also use rolling around on the floor screaming to communicate that one too - very effective!) I'm also using lots of words. I used to call my doggy "woof woof", but since I'm getting so grown up I call her "da" now (that means dog). I also say moon, hotdog, mama, dad, and even phrases like "all done". Mommy took a video and tested me the other day. She said I got an A + + which is apparently pretty good. I was kind of busy when she was trying to record me - I had big things to do. Good thing I'm so good at multi-tasking. And it's fun getting Mommy to chase me around. In this video I even show you my whistling skills! Check it out!

Daddy's Day!

BY EASTON

Tomorrow is Father's day. It's the day we celebrate dads. I don't know if you have heard or not, but I have the most incredible daddy EVER. I'm so grateful to have him as my daddy.

Here are my favorite things me and daddy do.

*I ride in my special backpack while he mows the lawn.
*I stand watch at the window each morning when he goes to work. He always looks back and waves twice.
*I run to the door squealing every time he gets home then I run away fast and he chases me.
*We wrestle, I'm getting really good!
*I love finding daddy's deodorant and trying to put it on. After that I get out his electric shaver and try to shave. I just found out how to turn it on! Mommy moved it to another place I can't reach because she says she doesn't want me to shave my head.
*Daddy reads me stories at night. I always turn around and back up into him so I can sit on his lap.
*Daddy sings me my favorite songs when he puts me to bed at night.
*Daddy takes me exploring when we go camping.
*Daddy lets me "drive" the 4wheeler with him.
*We play ball together.
*I love to visit daddy at work! He lets me work on bikes
*He gives me blessings when I'm sick
*He is my best friend - wherever he goes is where I want to be.

I love you daddy! Happy Daddy's Day! I will give you lots of extra slobbery and snotty kisses!

Just call me Nemo!

BY EASTON

Cuz I'm a swimmer!

Mommy & me went swimming last week. She told me it was going to be like a really big bathtub without the soap. It was HUGE! First Mommy put me in this floating tube thing, I did NOT like it. See the picture below

I preferred to have Mommy hold me. She said my legs had a "death grip" on her hip, not sure what that means. But I got used to how big it was and even let Mommy float me on my back. I am SUPER good at splashing so I did lots of that too. Guess what? When Mommy put me on my belly I splashed big with both hands and she said it was just like real swimming.

The sun was going down so we got out of the pool and got wrapped in big warm towels. I sat on Mommy's lap and she dangled her feet in the pool. It wasn't dark yet but I could see the moon! Did I tell you I can SAY moon now? Well I can, I said it probably 258 times while we sat by the edge of the pool. Mommy said she was proud of me. When we got home we told Daddy all about our adventures at the pool. I can't wait to go again!

Camping!

BY EASTON

Boy I have been so busy, and not just in my ability to empty out everything in the bathroom drawers in 2.5 seconds (impressive right?). Last week I got sick, it was NO fun! Mommy said it was some sort of a stomach bug, which is weird because I haven't eaten a bug, YET. Luckily it didn't last too long. It's a good thing too since I had BIG plans for the weekend. I got to do my one of my favorite things, CAMPING!

I've been camping since I was just a few months old...see....

So I am basically a pro at this point! This year we went up to Idaho to go camping. Our campground was right next to a field of cows. They moo'd all morning and all night. I had never seen one up close. I've only seen the ones in the books Mommy and Daddy read to me. They were big and loud and my doggy liked to chase them. I spent lots of time exploring for sticks - and I found some really good ones. I went on lots of walks in my special backpack that Daddy wears. We went lots of places that way with Fern chasing after us. She even jumped in the river a few times and found a mouse!

I went on lots of 4 wheeler rides. Daddy taught me how to start it. I love going for rides. We went on some short and bumpy ones and some long ones.Mommy says that I get so excited and open my mouth so wide I am bound to eat some bugs. Maybe that's why I had a stomach bug. . . . . .

My favorite part of camping this time was our trailer. It has this couch in the back that Mommy magically turns into a BED! And it's a big bed. Every night I would crawl up on it and roll the whole length of the bed - giggling non-stop. I had so much fun on the bed that one night I wouldn't go to sleep at all, I just wanted to play. Finally at 4 am Daddy took me for a ride in the truck until I fell asleep.

My whole family came up camping! I got to play with all of my cousins and aunts and uncles. I spent lots of time playing with Grandma in her trailer. She had some really good cookies in there and I liked snuggling on her shoulder. Grandpa also had lots of fun tools that I kept finding in different places, it was like Grandma and Grandpa were playing hide-and-seek with them!

Here are some pics from the trip

I can't wait to go camping again! Me & Daddy are already counting down the days!
