Three

Dear Little E,

We cannot believe that it has been three years since you made your big entrance! The world got a whole lot brighter that day. It just occurred to us that we may not be able to call you "Little E" much longer. You squeal in protest when Mama tells you that no matter how old you are you will ALWAYS be her baby.

Our big handsome boy, you are THREE years old. You are no longer a toddler. You are a tall and  handsome boy with big dreams that you love to tell us about. You put on your own pants. You pour your own cereal. You "drive" the 4wheeler. You wash your own face. You comb your own hair. You absolutely blow us away. And oh the stories you tell us. We don't know which part we love more, the words coming out of your mouth or the adorable concentrated look on your face. And you are so funny. You love teasing and telling jokes. Your eyes light up and you can hardly hold in your giggles while you wait for Mama to catch on that she is being teased!

You never stop moving, it looks like everywhere you go you travel on a giant trampoline. You are exploring new ways to get around like skipping, galloping, running, spinning, pushing yourself backwards while lying on the floor - the ideas just keep coming. You are so smart. You are so good at spotting letters. You know all of your colors and you are learning your shapes.

You love your friends. You love seeing them and playing at their houses. You worry about them if they are sick. You have a huge tender heart. Your bring a smile to everyone you meet.

You are an incredible big brother. When we put you and your sister in your beds in your room and we hear giggling. LOTS of giggling. Your sister watches you and finds everything you do amazing and hilarious. And when she giggles, you giggle. It is our favorite noise. And oh does your sister love you. When she looks at you it's easy to see that she completely adores you. No one can make her face light up like you, not even Mommy and Daddy.

You have become quite the singer! You love to create music by singing, tapping your toes, playing a harmonica, and banging on things. When your sister is sad you announce to Mama that you are going to sing her a song. You run in and pick one of your favorites like "Yummy Bears" or "Frosty the Snowman".

You are a sunbeam now! Last week was your first week. Mama was so proud at how brave you were when she took you to your new class. She peaked in at you during sharing time. You were sitting in a small metal chair on the front row. Pretty soon you were laying across three small metal chairs on the front row. You are the cutest sunbeam!

You love camping. You tell us every day how you want to go camping. You can hardly wait until it warms up so we can go up. You are so much like your daddy! You love adventures. Your eyes are always lit up watching the busy world around you and you love being a part of it.

You are such a big helper. You go with daddy on the 4wheeler to plow driveways of some of the widows in our ward. They love to bring you out treats. You are always so kind and sweet to them. You bring so much  joy to those around you.

Oh baby boy, we are SO proud of you. You are such a strong-willed and driven boy. You are determined and that is going to be such a strength to you as you grow up. You have such a big heart. You are so smart. You are so kind. You are growing into everything and more that we hoped our son would be. You have taught us so much. Watching you grow and learn and love brings us more joy than we ever imagined possible.

We love you so much sweet boy. Happy 3rd birthday!

1/20/2013

This week in the Wonderful World of E:

A new skill I learned
Pants on. Button buttoned. Zipper zipped. OH YEAH.

Something I'm working on
Sharing toys with my sister. Oh boy this is going to take awhile.

Something I did that was naughty
We are babysitting my cousin's dog and I keep letting both my dog and my cousin's dog out and I chase them around upstairs and get them very excited. Mama doesn't like it. He He.

Something I did that was kind
When Mama's friend came to pick her up I yelled out the door to her, "Hey Tammy! What you doin' today?" Mama said it made her very happy.

Funny thing I said
Mama I go in a barn, and cow go in a barn, and horsey go in a barn. Mama where bear go? In a barn?

Funny thing Mommy said/did
Don't put your tongue in there, it might get caught!

Fun activity
Played at Grandma Foulger's house. I set up all my animals then put a "gate" around it so baby couldn't get to it. And she made me a peanut butter sandwich. YUMMY.

Picture of the Week

My baby sister can crawl so I need to guard my toys. Also, Mama let me read my books even after bedtime with a flashlight! I love to read!

Nine Months

Nine Months Old

You finally got your first tooth baby girl! Unfortunately you got it at the same time as an ear infection and RSV. You are such a strong baby girl. RSV is a nasty bug and you were so tough. You remind me of a quote I read by Mark Twain, "Though she be but little, she is fierce".  You are all better now and back to business, CRAWLING business. You finally got it figured out and you are one speedy crawling girl. You are thrilled to be able to travel where you want and chase me around! I love hearing you patter behind me. You are also learning sign language. You are learning to sign "more" (see picture below).

This week in the Wonderful World of E:

A new skill I learned
Building an incredibly tall "fork lift" out of my legos! Mama was so impressed!

Something I'm working on
Only using my loud dinosaur scream outside.

Something I did that was naughty
Got a chair so I could reach Mama's Diet Coke. Dumped it out on the floor. Went and got Mama to show her.

Something I did that was kind
Saved a spot for Mama on the couch so we could watch "Nemo"

Funny thing I said
Mama was making the bed, so, as I always do, I went to climb on the bed and throw everything off of it. As I ran over I said, "This is gonna make mama SO MAD!" and I giggled. Then I got up on the freshly made bed and threw everything off. HEHE

Funny thing Mommy said/did
You like wiping all of your boogers on me don't you?

Fun activity
Saw a REAL helicopter at the hospital.

Picture of the Week

Taking my bear's temperature with a thermometer

Something I'm working on

Something I did that was naughty
 Tried to give baby medicine.

Something I did that was kind
Baby Kinley was sick so I decided to give her a blessing. I couldn't find Daddy's oil so I smeared Vaseline on her head instead.

Funny thing I said
Mommy I don't like her (Kinley) and 2 seconds later. . . Mama I love Kinley SO MUCH.

Funny thing Mommy said/did
Put all my toys in the dishwasher. She said she was killing germs but I didn't see any germs. . . . funny Mama.

12/30/2012

This week in the Wonderful World of E:

A new skill I learned
Making playdough spaghetti. I put the playdough in a medicine syrine and push! Mama was so proud, she said I'm "creative"

Something I'm working on
Dressing myself. I can totally do it but sometimes I just don't want to. Mama says I have to wear pants - bummer!

Something I did that was naughty
Took baby on a "ride" by dragging her across the kitchen floor on her belly. She liked it and laughed but Mama didn't.

Something I did that was kind
Mama pinched her finger and it started bleeding. I ran and got her a rag, held it on her owie, and put my other arm around her while I said, "It's otay Mama"

Funny thing I said
Bye Mama, I be gone, I go on date with Fern!

Funny thing Mommy said/did
Buddy you are dripping Jolly Rancher drool all over my house.

Fun activity
New Year's Eve party! We went to Daddy's friend's house. He has 3 boys so they had A TON of my favorite toys. I had so much fun and made some new friends too. I especially liked to take care of Addy. She was sad so I brought her a drink and told her it would be otay.
