January 2014
January was a fun month. Although we were mostly "shut-ins" (trying to keep baby healthy) we were still able to take a weekend trip down to St. George. It was a blast and so nice to see some blue skies and mild temps. Nathaniel got to ride and we got to spend a lot of time together as a family. We went on some family bike rides, visited some red rocks, and took the kiddos to the Children's Museum (which I HIGHLY recommend, so fun!) Here are some random pics from the month.
Kinley had her first braid! I absolutely love watching her look at herself in the mirror. She beams. I hope she always looks at herself that way and can always see how completely beautiful she is.
Bath time for Asher! He is still not sure how he feels about baths but he gave me a cute smile after I got him all snuggled up.
Speaking of snuggling, Easton loves his little brother! They adore each other.
Nap time in St. George. Guess who took the nap?
Nate riding in St. George
My little smurf - she loves eating markers
Boys night out! (minus the baby!) Nathaniel took Easton to is first hockey game. He LOVED it.
The big little sister
These two. I swoon.
Photo bomber!
The only way to roll playdough is with goggles and an apron :)

Easton's Birthday
I can't believe my baby boy is FOUR! We went on a walk last night and he rode his pedal bike, with NO TRAINING WHEELS! He amazes me. Watching him grow is amazing. I can't believe how smart he is, how kind he is. I am so incredibly proud of him!
We had a blast on his birthday! We decorated his room with balloons, it was a fun surprise for him to wake up to. He loved it! He wanted to go to the Hill Airforce Base Museum. We went last year and he loved it. This year he was even more thrilled.
That night we did cake and presents. I think that was his favorite part of the whole day, his cake. I'm not particularly crafty, I don't have huge birthday parties with beautiful decorations and party favors, but each year the kids get to pick their own birthday cake and I do my best to create it. Easton chose a dragon. He was so thrilled with it. He talked about it all day. That was my happiness, seeing his face when we lit the candles in the dragon's mouth.
So grateful for our very first miracle. When he asks why my belly was broken until we found him I tell him it was because God was telling us to go find him. And his birthmother loved him so much that she took such good care of him and found us too.

Love love love.
