A Day at the Park

BY EASTON

Today was so sunny and warm that mommy said we HAD to go to the park. This is great news to me, I love the park. We called up my friend Eli and his mommy so they could come with us. Then after a quick breakfast Mommy started putting all this white lotion stuff on me. She said it would keep my nose from getting burned. I didn't like the smell of it very much but I'm tough so I held as still as I could. On the way to the park I got to ride in the backseat with Eli. We are such good friends. When we got to the park I went straight for the sand. Have you seen that stuff? It's awesome! You can dig it, and pile it, and throw it (even though mommy didn't like that part). I had fun piling it on the slide. Next we went to the swings. I love swinging but this playground only had big kids swings. It worked out good though because I just sat on Mommy's lap. We swung went back and forth for a long time. I loved it. I giggled and giggled. Then I started to get kind of sleepy since it was getting close to my nap time. I nearly fell asleep in Mommy's lap! On the way home we stopped and got "kiddy cones" at Arctic Circle. I LOVED the icecream but I wasn't too interested in the cone, so I shared it with Mommy. Mommy and Daddy say I'm really good at sharing. Before heading inside I made sure to go say hello to my doggy, she would be sad if I forgot! Then I headed in to take a very long nap. It's been a great day!

  1. Little E, you are so big and SO smart! I am glad you found so many uses for sand! My kids always thought it made good shampoo. At least, that is what they must have thought as they dumped bucketfuls on each others heads and made sure to rub it in deep. Try that with your mommy. I bet she would like a sand treatment for her hair. They are special. Maybe if your daddy had tried sand earlier he would have more hair. :)
