Dear Easton,

*Easton's Mommy here. I hope it's okay I'm taking over his blog for a day. I told him I had a special message to write him so he gave me permission to post something- just this once! :)

Dear Easton,

We can't believe that you are two years old today! You have been such a busy boy this year which makes sense with all of the growing and learning you have been doing. You are getting so very tall and handsome. You can reach all sorts of new things in our house. Every time we turn around you have discovered a new drawer that you are now tall enough to explore. You are such a handsome little boy. Your big brown eyes are always lit up with excitement. You have always looked so grown up, from the day you were born. The moment Mama saw you she knew you were going to be the most handsome boy she'd ever seen aside from daddy.

You are such a tender-hearted and loving boy. When we read "Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" we love the way you take the time to kiss each individual monkey that falls off the bed and bumps his head. In your nursery class at church you get so worried when one of your friends is sad and cries. You pat their backs and bring them your favorite toys. One day when Mama was sad you climbed up into her arms, put yours arms around her neck, looked into her eyes and said "Mama" in the sweetest way. Then you gave her a slobbery kiss and big hug. You also give the most excellent butterfly kisses.

Your new favorite thing is "Finding Nemo". You call it "fishies". You think that Bruce the shark is the funniest fish in the whole movie. You ride a two-wheel bike! You go so fast and balance so well. You are very good at building tall towers with your legos. You make beautiful pictures and are starting to recognize some letters. You are good at fixing things. You have spent a lot of time with Daddy so you know just how to get every job done. When you see something is broken you go to your room to find just the right tool from your tool bench.

You have become a wonderful singer. You like to find the hymn book at our house and sit on the couch with it. You thumb through the pages singing and singing. It's beautiful.

You love when Daddy sings you songs at bedtime. He sings a special song that has your name in it! You even let Daddy brush your teeth without too much of a fight. You are so good at helping him with any project and you are getting quite good at wrestling him.

You always keep us laughing. You make funny faces just to get us to giggle. You like to be silly and pretend to fall on the ground. You love laughing too! That's why we can't stop tickling you!

You can't wait to be a big brother! You already love your little sister so much. You love looking at her picture and watching the video of her heartbeat. You share your sippy cup with her (aka Mama's belly) and wave at her too. You are always sure to kiss her any time we mention the word "baby". She is going to be the luckiest girl (aside from Mama) to have you in her life. We know that you will always be watching over her and being the best big brother any little girl could ask for.

We hope you never forget how special you are. We know Heavenly Father has big plans for you! You have already changed so many different lives for the better. You bring light wherever you go.

We love you big baby boy!
Mama & Daddy
