The Big ONE Year Old!

Baby girl you are one! When on earth did that happen?  You have been surprising us from that first moment when we saw two pink lines on that pregnancy test.

You have grown so much this past year! You went from a cute little newborn who didn't do much more than sleep and poop to a crazy spitfire girl who crawls faster than we've ever seen a baby crawl and is getting ready to walk.

You have so much personality! You are not shy about letting us know what you want. We can't keep enough food on your tray (though you could never tell since you are so tiny!). You are quick to let us know when your goldfish supply is running low. You love pineapple and bananas. You tolerate your veggies. You want nothing to do with the fluoride we make you take every day.

You like to pretend cough because it gets our attention. When we look at you to make sure you are okay you break out in a HUGE grin and laugh. And your laugh. Oh my goodness. It is the funniest thing we have ever heard. It sounds like a combination of growling and giggling.

You look just like your Daddy but when you smile you crinkle up your nose and eyes just like your Mama. You are smitten with your big brother. You could just watch him run in circles all day. Sometimes you do! You love chattering back and forth with him in the car, mimicking the sounds he makes. Sometimes he thinks it's funny, sometimes not so much. You don't seem to notice either way because you can't stop giggling the whole time. Your big brother loves you so much. He works very hard to protect you. You love animals, especially your dog! You think she is so funny and you love to pet her.

You love your family, immediate and extended. You light up when you see grandmas and grandpas. You adore your cousins. You love being spoiled by aunts and uncles.

At church there are so many nice ladies who are happy to hold you and free up my hands for a bit. You love the attention and you always leave them with a smile on their faces. You don't love that church is during your nap. Usually by the end you are restless and ready to go!

You love being outside, just like your daddy. You are already a camper! You love to help Daddy and Easton mow the lawn. You love exploring everything around you outside and trying to eat new things like leaves and grass.

You would live in the bathtub if we let you. You get SO mad when we take you out of the bath. When Mommy or Daddy take a shower you toddle on in.. Usually you end up soaked from sticking your head in and trying to climb in.

Baby girl you bring so much light into our home. Watching you and your brother as you grow and learn together gives us more joy than we thought was possible. You are going to do big things baby girl, big things!

We can't wait to see what you do next!
