Just call me Nemo!

BY EASTON

Cuz I'm a swimmer!

Mommy & me went swimming last week. She told me it was going to be like a really big bathtub without the soap. It was HUGE! First Mommy put me in this floating tube thing, I did NOT like it. See the picture below

I preferred to have Mommy hold me. She said my legs had a "death grip" on her hip, not sure what that means. But I got used to how big it was and even let Mommy float me on my back. I am SUPER good at splashing so I did lots of that too. Guess what? When Mommy put me on my belly I splashed big with both hands and she said it was just like real swimming.

The sun was going down so we got out of the pool and got wrapped in big warm towels. I sat on Mommy's lap and she dangled her feet in the pool. It wasn't dark yet but I could see the moon! Did I tell you I can SAY moon now? Well I can, I said it probably 258 times while we sat by the edge of the pool. Mommy said she was proud of me. When we got home we told Daddy all about our adventures at the pool. I can't wait to go again!

Camping!

BY EASTON

Boy I have been so busy, and not just in my ability to empty out everything in the bathroom drawers in 2.5 seconds (impressive right?). Last week I got sick, it was NO fun! Mommy said it was some sort of a stomach bug, which is weird because I haven't eaten a bug, YET. Luckily it didn't last too long. It's a good thing too since I had BIG plans for the weekend. I got to do my one of my favorite things, CAMPING!

I've been camping since I was just a few months old...see....

So I am basically a pro at this point! This year we went up to Idaho to go camping. Our campground was right next to a field of cows. They moo'd all morning and all night. I had never seen one up close. I've only seen the ones in the books Mommy and Daddy read to me. They were big and loud and my doggy liked to chase them. I spent lots of time exploring for sticks - and I found some really good ones. I went on lots of walks in my special backpack that Daddy wears. We went lots of places that way with Fern chasing after us. She even jumped in the river a few times and found a mouse!

I went on lots of 4 wheeler rides. Daddy taught me how to start it. I love going for rides. We went on some short and bumpy ones and some long ones.Mommy says that I get so excited and open my mouth so wide I am bound to eat some bugs. Maybe that's why I had a stomach bug. . . . . .

My favorite part of camping this time was our trailer. It has this couch in the back that Mommy magically turns into a BED! And it's a big bed. Every night I would crawl up on it and roll the whole length of the bed - giggling non-stop. I had so much fun on the bed that one night I wouldn't go to sleep at all, I just wanted to play. Finally at 4 am Daddy took me for a ride in the truck until I fell asleep.

My whole family came up camping! I got to play with all of my cousins and aunts and uncles. I spent lots of time playing with Grandma in her trailer. She had some really good cookies in there and I liked snuggling on her shoulder. Grandpa also had lots of fun tools that I kept finding in different places, it was like Grandma and Grandpa were playing hide-and-seek with them!

Here are some pics from the trip

I can't wait to go camping again! Me & Daddy are already counting down the days!

Feeding my doggy

BY EASTON

I like to feed my doggy. I know just where her treats are! Since me and Fern are such good buddies I always try to give her a bunch but Mommy says if we give her too much she will get a belly ache. Sometimes it's so hard to wait for Mommy to get the treats out of the bag. Fern always gets my hands so slobbery. Mommy says luckily Fern is very patient - I have no idea what that word  means. Lately it's fun to tease my doggy, I run away with her treat. I had Mommy take a video so you could see just what I mean.

A Day at the Park

BY EASTON

Today was so sunny and warm that mommy said we HAD to go to the park. This is great news to me, I love the park. We called up my friend Eli and his mommy so they could come with us. Then after a quick breakfast Mommy started putting all this white lotion stuff on me. She said it would keep my nose from getting burned. I didn't like the smell of it very much but I'm tough so I held as still as I could. On the way to the park I got to ride in the backseat with Eli. We are such good friends. When we got to the park I went straight for the sand. Have you seen that stuff? It's awesome! You can dig it, and pile it, and throw it (even though mommy didn't like that part). I had fun piling it on the slide. Next we went to the swings. I love swinging but this playground only had big kids swings. It worked out good though because I just sat on Mommy's lap. We swung went back and forth for a long time. I loved it. I giggled and giggled. Then I started to get kind of sleepy since it was getting close to my nap time. I nearly fell asleep in Mommy's lap! On the way home we stopped and got "kiddy cones" at Arctic Circle. I LOVED the icecream but I wasn't too interested in the cone, so I shared it with Mommy. Mommy and Daddy say I'm really good at sharing. Before heading inside I made sure to go say hello to my doggy, she would be sad if I forgot! Then I headed in to take a very long nap. It's been a great day!

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! Can you believe that mommy says I'm big enough for my very own blog? She says I have so many great things to say that I need a good place to share them.

Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself. I was born on January 31, 2010. Daddy and Mommy say I was long and skinny and absolutely perfect. My birthmom is named Natalie. She is beautiful. I like to look at her picture. She carried me in her belly and took such good care of me. She loved me so much that when she found out she wouldn't be able to take care of me she found my mommy and daddy. Mommy and Daddy had been waiting for me for so long. They prayed every day that I would come.

I like to do LOTS of things. Toys are pretty fun to play with but I prefer other things like the tuppeware drawer in the kitchen and the cup that holds our toothbrushes. It's such a fun game to see how fast I can find the remote and run away from mommy and daddy so that they will chase me! I love being outside and digging in the dirt. I get really dirty but mommy says that's what boys are supposed to do. I'm really good at going down the slide, I go down on my bottom and sometimes on my belly. I love taking my dog Fern on walks and I always make sure to bring her a treat in the morning. I love being in my special backpack that daddy wears when he is working in the yard, I am his big helper! I'm really good at finding tools and trying to use them just like daddy. I love to help mommy clean, I'm really good at sweeping. I'm also really good at loading the dishwasher.

I have lots of fun visiting grandmas and grandpas. Lots of times all of my cousins are there too and they are so much fun to play with. I have fun going to church with mommy and daddy. Sometimes I get too excited and noisy with mommy in her class so we sneak out and visit nursery. I love showing mommy all of the fun toys they have in there. My favorite time of the day is bath time. I don't like the part where mommy and daddy put lotion on me and make me get into pj's but after I'm all ready for bed we get to read lots of stories! I love to read stories, I will dig through all of my books until I find just the right one.

Well I think I'm ready for some juice in my sippy and a little nap. Thanks for stopping by! Come by again and I will tell you more about my adventures.
