Two Months

Two Months Old

You gave us a BIG gift this month baby girl - look at that BEAUTIFUL smile! You've been busy discovering your fingers and toes. You have learned some new noises too, you do one awesome dinosaur growl impression. I have a feeling your big brother taught you that! You  gave us another big gift this month, sleeping a little longer at night. You still need a very early feeding but you reward Mama with smiles and cuddles. You love going on walks. You went on your first camping trip this month. You are a WONDERFUL camper!

One Month

One Month Old

Look at your growing up so fast baby girl! You were busy this month growing, which required some late night and early morning feedings. You love watching your brother and the crazy things he does. You have such strong legs, you want to stand up so badly!

We celebrated Mother's Day this month and I felt extra special because I get to be the Mama of two beautiful miracles!

Your big brother can't get enough of you. He wants you to play with him and do all of the things he gets to do. You are only lucky lady - you have a strong big brother who loves you so much and says he will "keep you safe and protect you"

Hello World, I'm New Here

Beautiful baby girl, you came into this world on a very early and rainy Wednesday in April. You were so very punctual, coming right on your due date, April 18, 2012. You kept us waiting, I was in labor 18 hours. And you were worth every second of it. And not just the 18 hours, the 9 months of waiting after you surprised us with a positive pregnancy test! When I first saw you I could NOT believe you were really here, that you actually had hair on your beautiful head, that you were so completely perfect, and how much I love you. You weighed in at 6 pounds 12 ounces. Your daddy fell in love with you the instant he held you in his arms. Your brother followed right after and hasn't wanted to leave your side since. Welcome to the world baby girl, it just a got a little bit brighter now that you are here.

Aunt Jess took my TWO year old pics

Taking care of my baby. Reading my books.

My birthday at the aquarium and my nemo cake!

Doing dishes. Helping dad make french toast!

Dear Easton,

*Easton's Mommy here. I hope it's okay I'm taking over his blog for a day. I told him I had a special message to write him so he gave me permission to post something- just this once! :)

Dear Easton,

We can't believe that you are two years old today! You have been such a busy boy this year which makes sense with all of the growing and learning you have been doing. You are getting so very tall and handsome. You can reach all sorts of new things in our house. Every time we turn around you have discovered a new drawer that you are now tall enough to explore. You are such a handsome little boy. Your big brown eyes are always lit up with excitement. You have always looked so grown up, from the day you were born. The moment Mama saw you she knew you were going to be the most handsome boy she'd ever seen aside from daddy.

You are such a tender-hearted and loving boy. When we read "Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" we love the way you take the time to kiss each individual monkey that falls off the bed and bumps his head. In your nursery class at church you get so worried when one of your friends is sad and cries. You pat their backs and bring them your favorite toys. One day when Mama was sad you climbed up into her arms, put yours arms around her neck, looked into her eyes and said "Mama" in the sweetest way. Then you gave her a slobbery kiss and big hug. You also give the most excellent butterfly kisses.

Your new favorite thing is "Finding Nemo". You call it "fishies". You think that Bruce the shark is the funniest fish in the whole movie. You ride a two-wheel bike! You go so fast and balance so well. You are very good at building tall towers with your legos. You make beautiful pictures and are starting to recognize some letters. You are good at fixing things. You have spent a lot of time with Daddy so you know just how to get every job done. When you see something is broken you go to your room to find just the right tool from your tool bench.

You have become a wonderful singer. You like to find the hymn book at our house and sit on the couch with it. You thumb through the pages singing and singing. It's beautiful.

You love when Daddy sings you songs at bedtime. He sings a special song that has your name in it! You even let Daddy brush your teeth without too much of a fight. You are so good at helping him with any project and you are getting quite good at wrestling him.

You always keep us laughing. You make funny faces just to get us to giggle. You like to be silly and pretend to fall on the ground. You love laughing too! That's why we can't stop tickling you!

You can't wait to be a big brother! You already love your little sister so much. You love looking at her picture and watching the video of her heartbeat. You share your sippy cup with her (aka Mama's belly) and wave at her too. You are always sure to kiss her any time we mention the word "baby". She is going to be the luckiest girl (aside from Mama) to have you in her life. We know that you will always be watching over her and being the best big brother any little girl could ask for.

We hope you never forget how special you are. We know Heavenly Father has big plans for you! You have already changed so many different lives for the better. You bring light wherever you go.

We love you big baby boy!
